Our vision is to provide mental health services to everyone desiring wellness of body, mind, spirit, and community.
Prior to COVID, PCS received 50 referrals per month; today we receive an average of 432 referrals per month. We have run out of office space for therapists. In late 2022, the property that adjoins our campus was donated, and valued at $280k, to PCS giving us another acre to expand.
We have already conducted a feasibility study that returned favorable in 2019. The Bales Foundation gave us a $350,000 match grant that we successfully matched and we have $800,000 towards our $3.4M project.
Our new facility with 10 new providers would allow PCS to serve at least 250 more children and families per week.
Our target audience includes other foundations, corporations and individuals looking to fund capital projects.
We are ready for groundbreaking. All architectural drawings, renderings, permits, geotech and other pre-construction requirements have been met.
There are 3 Phases:
Phase 1: Construct new facility (10,436 square feet)
Phase 2: Renovate the current main office with new paint/flooring throughout; renovate the restrooms
Phase 3: Build onto the current Music Therapy facility to add four clinical offices and one soundproof clinic
Mental health is in crisis nationwide. Prior to COVID, Personal Counseling Services (PCS) received approximately 50 referrals per month; now, we average 331. We lack additional office space to accommodate more therapists. In 2022, we received a $280,000 donation for adjoining property. In August of 2024, Personal Counseling Services recently was awarded a generous $1.5M matching grant from the Indiana United Way, funded by Lilly Endowment.
We are committed to serving more individuals and families but need your support. Your investment with PCS translates to lives saved, relationships repaired, and hope and healing for those who are hurting, including at-risk and marginalized populations.
